The Labyrinth at
Tucked into the quiet center...
... of the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum near Tucson, you will find this lovely desert labyrinth. The park, itself, is dedicated to inspiring “people to live in harmony with the natural world ... and understand the Sonoran Desert.”
This labyrinth becomes the perfect place to consider one’s place amidst the natural world, and to contemplate on the beauty of the over-200 animal species and tens of thousands of desert plants held gently within the natural surroundings of the Desert Museum. After time spent on the paths of the Desert Museum and then through the labyrinth, you might find that the large stone in the labyrinth's center is a great place for rest beneath the shade of a green-hued Palo Verde Tree.
For those not familiar with labyrinths, there are also several attractive and informative signs providing an abbreviated history of labyrinths throughout the world, and southwestern United States.
